The Digital Humanities platform gathers written heritage and humanities research in one place: manuscripts and their images, transcribed text, collections, research projects, and the people and institutions behind them.
The goal is to make reading, searching and connecting this material straightforward for researchers, students and the general public — from reading a single manuscript page to tracing the source of a phrase and weighing the different ways it has come down to us.
The working path is simple: you open the image of a page or manuscript, the platform extracts its text, locates that same passage in an identified authoritative source and shows it in the source’s own wording, and from there you can translate it or read an explanation of its words and lines — carrying the reference to that source wherever one is available.
